It’s official. We are moving – again!
We’ve been in Dover, Delaware, our current location, for less than 10 months. At first we were excited to be here but the longer we stayed the less excited we were. In addition to the cold, we missed our families.
I think we had romanticized about being back in the “north”. We met in Rhode Island and had some of the best times there – individually and collectively. But, we soon learned Delawareans don’t consider themselves northerners. They are in every way southern, or so they think.
My husband and I are true southerners. I am from Mississippi, the Hospitality State; he is from Alabama although I don’t know what they are known for. But, I will find out because Alabama – come February 6 – will be our new home.
So, in the spirit of all the other moves that I did not document, I will keep a record of this one. Just so you know what I am in for my time started ticking on January 18 – less than 21 days to move our family of four – when we got official word.
Although I intend to use this site to document the move, I will keep it going so that people will know what it is like to be a coach’s wife. I know it’s a lot of coach’s wives out there but living la vita loco of collegiate sports can be challenging and lonely if you don’t have your relationship in tact.
I hope you come back to visit – who knows, I may even give away a few prizes.
